Morocco Visa for Nigerians: eVisa and Consular Routes

Nigerian passport holders require a visa for Morocco. The key question is whether you qualify for the eVisa through a document you already hold.

The eVisa route

The eVisa is not available on the Nigerian passport alone, but that does not mean every Nigerian traveller must use the consular process. Some may qualify for the eVisa through a residence permit or a multiple-entry visa they already hold from certain countries, provided it meets the validity conditions. Accès Maroc, Morocco’s official portal, decides this: run its eligibility check with the exact documents you hold rather than assuming that residence or a visa elsewhere is enough.

If you qualify, the eVisa is for one entry, is valid for up to 180 days from issue and permits a stay of up to 30 days.

Keep the eVisa and the documents used to qualify accessible for travel. Acces Maroc says supporting documents can be checked at boarding and at the Moroccan border.

If you do not qualify

Use the Moroccan consular visa process before travel.

Do not rely on an agency’s generic checklist for fees, processing time or required evidence. Obtain the current requirements from the Moroccan diplomatic or consular service responsible for your application.

Because the visa determines whether the trip can happen, settle it before committing to non-refundable bookings.
