Most sites about Morocco fall into two camps: glossy tourism brochures that skip the parts that actually matter, or forum threads where three people confidently disagree about the same visa rule.

MoroccoMag exists to close that gap. Every guide here is written to be genuinely useful to two kinds of readers: people visiting Morocco, and people living here as expats. It’s the same country, but the questions are different enough that we split the site that way instead of forcing both audiences through one generic “travel blog” format.

What we actually do

• Guides covering everything from visa requirements to where to find English-speaking doctors, written to be read once and acted on, not scrolled past.
• A set of practical tools, including a Darija phrasebook, a cost-of-living calculator, and a neighborhood explorer, built to answer a specific question fast, not to keep you on the page.
• An Essentials section with the numbers you hope you never need: embassy contacts, emergency services, a directory of banks and services that actually operate in Morocco today.

On accuracy

Morocco changes constantly: prices shift, phone numbers change, and businesses close. Every guide carries a note about when it was last checked, and the Essentials contacts have been independently verified against official sources wherever possible. If you spot something that’s gone out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it.
