Ryanair Announces Record Morocco Winter Schedule, Including Five New Marrakech Routes

Ryanair has announced a winter schedule for Morocco covering 156 routes, 17 new connections and roughly 5.3 million seats, linking the country with 14 European markets. Five of the new routes serve Marrakech, according to the Moroccan National Tourist Office announcement.

Which routes, specifically

This is where the announcement stops short of what a reader wants.

Ryanair’s own release identifies Marrakech to Wrocław among the additions. The remaining Marrakech routes are counted in the programme figures but not individually named in the material we could access.

Three separate things are worth keeping apart here. An announcement says a route is planned. A route being on sale means you can book it. An operating timetable tells you which days it flies. An announcement in August does not establish any of the other two.

If a particular route matters to you, search it on the airline’s own site for your dates. That is the only thing that confirms it exists as a bookable service.

What this does and does not mean for fares

More capacity and more competition on a route can affect pricing. We are not going to tell you Marrakech will become cheaper, because that requires comparing actual fares over time and we have not done that.

What additional routes do reliably provide is choice: more departure airports, more days, and less dependence on connecting through Casablanca. For residents, that is arguably the more useful effect than any fare movement.

Winter in Marrakech

Winter is quieter than the spring and autumn peaks in Marrakech, though “quiet season” overstates it. The Christmas and New Year period is a distinct spike, and demand varies considerably by destination within Morocco.

The weather argument is stronger than the crowds argument. December and January in Marrakech are comfortable in the daytime and cold in the evening, with none of the summer heat.

The wider context

This sits within a sustained expansion of Moroccan air capacity. The country has a stated target of 26 million visitors by 2030, reported by Reuters in July 2026, alongside investment in airport expansion and hotel capacity ahead of the World Cup.

The practical consequence for anyone living here is that connections to Europe have been improving year on year, and the old assumption that everything routes through Casablanca is steadily less true.
