Casablanca has places to spend an evening, learn something and return the following week. The useful question is which one suits your language, interests and journey home.

L’uZine

Villa des Arts de Casablanca

Cinema
Pathé Californie
Where: Californie, Casablanca. Cost: Ticket per screening; format supplements may apply.
A multiplex with online film listings and filters for language and screening format. Useful for a planned evening or an indoor activity when you want a break from sightseeing.

Megarama Casablanca
Where: Casablanca; use the cinema’s own access information. Cost: Ticket per screening and format.
A second cinema option with its own programme and session listings. Compare the film, language, journey and return transport with Pathé rather than choosing only by the title on a poster.

Books and libraries
Le Carrefour des Livres
Where: Corner of rues des Landes and Vignemale, Maârif. Cost: Books priced individually; ask about event access.
A bookshop whose Maison du Livre listing includes general literature, children’s books, art books and English and Arabic titles. A useful place to browse beyond the souvenir shelves.

Médiathèque de la Fondation de la Mosquée Hassan II
Where: Rue Tiznit, Casablanca. Cost: Consult membership and visitor terms.
A médiathèque with adult and youth catalogues and public-service information. It is worth investigating for regular reading or study, including for a household with children.

A central park with walking routes and spaces for leisure. It works as a repeatable outdoor break between errands or as the unstructured part of a day with children.

Make one outing into a regular habit
Choose one place you can reach comfortably, try it and decide whether you want to return. For a class, ask about a trial session and the attendance commitment before paying for a term. For an exhibition, allow time to look properly rather than linking several galleries into a compulsory circuit.
With children, check age suitability, booking and whether a parent must stay. A youth collection is not childcare, and a family film still needs the right language and age classification.
