The share of foreign investment in market capitalization declined slightly in 2016. It was 32.97% against 34.38% a year earlier. In value, however, it weighs more, ie 192 billion DH against 155.86 billion in 2015 (+ 23%). In total, the market capitalization reaches 583 billion, according to the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC). At the end of 2016, 50 of the 75 companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange were held by foreign investors for less than 25% of their capitalization, three times more than a year earlier. In addition, 9 listed companies were owned more than 75%, 9 others between 25 and 50% and 7 between 50 and 75%.
